Halbeath Road resurfacing scheme set to commence

Fife Council Transportation Services are set to commence a carriageway resurfacing scheme on a section of
The works involve the complete renewal of the carriageway surface. This will be carried out by operating Temporary Traffic Signals which will be manually operated to help alleviate heavy traffic congestion. Extended working hours will be applied to have the works completed in the shortest timescale possible and to cause minimum disruption. The working hours will be from 7.30 am to 7.30 pm Monday to Friday and there is no scheduled weekend working.
Delays are expected so the public are advised to consider using alternative routes to avoid these works or plan extra time for their journey. Possible alternative routes are:
Dunfermline Football Club has scheduled home football matches during the period of the works, on the evenings of Wednesday 21 July and Tuesday 27 July. On these dates, works will be cleared and the road fully open by 4.00 pm. The two Saturday home matches during the works will not be affected.
The works have been programmed for this time to take full opportunity of the reduced traffic flow during the holiday period to minimise disruption.
