Carriageway Improvements set for Leuchars

Fife Council Transportation Services are set to commence a carriageway patching scheme in Leuchars.
A road closure to traffic has been implemented for part of the period of the works to allow the re-surfacing to be carried out.
The closure will be from 27and 28 July 2010 – from approximately 11 to 23 Pitlethie Road, opposite Leuchars Primary School. There will be no through access between 08.00 and 17.00hrs during this closure.
Diversions will be in place for the 27and 28 July 2010 via the Q4 (Tentsmuir road) and B945/A919 to St Michaels to gain access to either side of the closure area. Affected residents will be notified separately.
Further restrictions will be in place during 27 July to 1 August 2010 on Main Street and continuing on Pitlethie Road but works will be phased and done under traffic control to allow through traffic during this period.
